CHt designed, installed and commissioned the complete mechanical and electrical services, including significant upgrades to the sitewide infrastructure.

Works on the 63-acre site involved 14 new and refurbished buildings and the complete site infrastructure and utilities replacement of security systems, gas, water, HV, LV, and IT networks on a live and fully operational MOD facility. The project provided a learning centre, library and lecture theatre, living accommodation for permanent staff and trainees, a junior ranks dining and welfare facility, main entrance, keep and car park, Army Development and Selection Centre (ADSC), plus other offices and accommodation. We also carried out enabling works to provide serviced plots for Project SLAM to construct a junior ranks SLA and a junior officer trainees and SNCOs SLA.

Our approach

The CHt team were involved early in the design to survey and investigate services and to assist in the development and planning of the project’s phases. Liaison with many client stakeholders for the different uses of buildings was undertaken and the security restrictions managed in relation to access and transfer of restricted information.
